What were conditions like on arrival to America?
On arrival to America, very few Germans ever felt discrimination. Only some Germans felt discrimination because of being Catholic, but it was rare. The lack of discrimination was due to the fact that many Germans were richer and more educated than the Irish who had arrived in America at the same time.
